Read MoreI’ve visited Recover for a few different injuries now and have always been really impressed with the service I’ve received. Most recently I worked with Lindsey who was very thorough and worked with my to rehab my injury and reach my previous level. She provided a combination of exercises and treatments and gave me a plan to follow with clear and detailed instructions. Most importantly for me, she was very accommodating with my rigid training schedule and able to adapt and mould the plan around this. I would highly recommend both Recover as an organisation and Lindsey personally!
Riddhi showed first-rate skills in diagnosis, explanation of problem. Excellent interpersonal skills and very well targetted recovery exercises which kept changing as injury improved. She also gave useful post-injury maintenance exercises
I highly recommend this physiotherapist clinic and wanna warmly thanks Riddhi. She supported me over a long period for various issues, always with great kindness, attentive listening, and true professionalism. Every session was carefully tailored, and I saw a real improvement in my health over time, with a significant reduction in my symptoms. Beyond her expertise, what really stands out is her ability to explain, reassure, and motivate. You immediately feel understood, supported, and confident in the process, which makes a huge difference during long-term treatment. She also worked with my husband in preparation for his marathon, providing a structured and personalised approach that allowed him to reach race day injury-free — and achieve an excellent time of 2:45! A skilled, dedicated, and genuinely caring professional. I would wholeheartedly recommend her.
My teenage son has been seeing Oliver following a running injury, and I can’t recommend him highly enough. He’s really listened to my son and taken on board both his short-term and long-term goals. Oliver’s explanations have been very clear, particularly regarding the cause of his injury, to prevent further issues in the future. He’s been friendly, approachable and professional throughout and getting 5 stars from a teenager is no mean feat! Thanks, Oliver.
Leah helped look after my daughter during her physio session for her knee, and she was absolutely lovely. She was so kind, patient, and reassuring, which really helped my daughter feel comfortable and at ease. She’s clearly very knowledgeable and explained things in a way that made everything easy to understand. You can tell she genuinely cares about the people she’s helping. Such a warm, professional, and supportive experience, we’re really grateful for her care. Thank you, Leah!
Oliver is an exceptionally knowledgeable physio and I can’t recommend him highly enough. He helped me work through plantar fasciitis that I’d been struggling with for over five months and guided me safely back into running, all the way to preparing for a marathon. His approach was thorough and reassuring, with a comprehensive programme to follow at home, tailored pre-run warm-ups, and effective in-clinic treatments. The care felt genuinely personalised and well thought out at every stage. This has been the best physio treatment I’ve ever received. I would recommend Oliver to anyone dealing with an injury, ongoing niggles, or physical issues that are stopping them from exercising or enjoying day-to-day activities.
Oliver was great, he really helped us to understand the process of our daughter’s recovery from a football injury she sustained and ultimately got her to playing the game she loves. Would highly recommend!
Recover was highly recommended by my son and various friends. I was seen by Riddhi as a new client quickly. Her treatment plan and exercises have resolved a neck/shoulder issue (which I’ve had for 18 months) in about 4 months. She has been brilliant.
Very much helped by Lindsey’s advice and diagnostics of a few issues with my aged legs and knees, due to strain and arthritis. She made it all clear to me with illustrations plus providing excellent exercises to ease the pains and improve my balance. A charming person too!
Oliver has been a huge help in my recovery during 2025. His expert knowledge, diagnosis and then evolving treatment plan has meant that I am now back doing sport having put in the work we talked through. We have built up a good personal rapport which is also important, building that trust and drive to make sure I put in the work to get a positive outcome. I have highly recommended Oliver/Recover to a number of friends a family should who have previously received physio treatment. I will continue to do so. I have also had treatment with other staff which has also been a positive experience.
Saw Lindsey at Recover Physio who was amazing! Every session felt personalised and focused on what I needed most. I’ve seen real improvement thanks to her guidance. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a physio who truly goes above and beyond! Thank you 🙂
I can sincerely recommend Physio Recovery . Obviously I can only speak for the physio that had been treating myself. Oliver, is not just professional , but has a very caring manner . it’s obvious he wishes to help individuals by going above and beyond with information finding regarding other referrals that may be required . He’s happy to involve other members of his team for a second opinion if needed. I started seeing Oliver 15 months ago and I would like to say a huge thank you to him for his help and support. My son was also a client of Oliver’s who has made a great recovery and is now back to running and playing football again . I have no hesitation in recommending Physio Recovery x
Couldn’t have asked for a better service. I Came to recover physio with back and ankle problems and after 2/3 months of sessions I can safely say it’s the best I’ve ever felt. Sophia explained everything so well and all the sessions were enjoyable and everything was explained clearly throughout. Couldn’t recommend her enough. Brilliant physio, even better person. Thank you so much
My son had a posture issue due to a growth spurt. The staff from Recover Physiotherapy were really friendly and approachable, especially Sophie whom was really calm and made nice conversations with my son while keeping a professional attitude.During the sessions she helped him to build a healthy exercise routine and now my son’s posture is amazingly good. Thank you 😊
I came to Grace with a knee ligament injury with little hope that I would be playing football again this season but she was incredible and with her fantastic knowledge and expertise she has discharged me within 6 weeks and I’m back doing what I love! Cannot recommend her enough! Thank you

What is Children’s Physiotherapy?
Children’s Physiotherapy, also known as Paediatric Physiotherapy, is a specialised area that focuses on the unique demands experienced by developing bodies. Children aren’t just small adults; their bodies are constantly growing and changing, which requires a distinct approach.
Our therapists combine expert physiotherapy skills with an in-depth knowledge of childhood growth and maturation. We work collaboratively with both the child and their family to assess, diagnose, and treat a wide range of movement and functional issues. The goal is not only to identify a problem and manage its symptoms but also to promote confidence and quality of movement. In doing so, we aim to nurture lifelong positive attitudes towards health, exercise, and physical wellbeing.
Common Conditions We Treat in Children
Our child physio team in Norwich can assess and manage a variety of conditions that affect children and adolescents, relating to their growth, development, and sporting lives.
Some of the common issues we see include:
- Osgood-Schlatter Disease: A frequent cause of knee pain in active, growing children, located just below the kneecap where the patella tendon attaches.
- Sever’s Disease: Heel pain that often affects children during growth spurts, related to the attachment of the Achilles tendon.
- Sports Injuries: From helping young athletes recover from sprains and strains to creating bespoke injury prevention plans to prevent future problems.
- Flat Feet or In-Toeing: Addressing your child’s walking pattern to improve their gait.
- Idiopathic toe-walking: Assessing why it is occurring and education on gait patterns.
- Post-Surgery Rehabilitation: Supporting your child to regain full strength and function after an operation.
- Postural and Neck Pain: Often linked to increased screen time or carrying heavy school bags.
- Coordination and Balance Issues: Developing strategies to improve movement control as your child grows.
- Management of Long-Term Conditions: Providing support for children with conditions like Cerebral Palsy.
Physiotherapy for Children vs. Adults: What’s the Difference?
While the core principles of what we do remain the same, our approach to Paediatric Physiotherapy is tailored specifically for younger clients.
The main difference is the environment and the approach. We understand that children need a setting where they feel at ease, so our sessions are designed to be fun, engaging, and interactive.
We also actively involve parents or guardians in the sessions – you are a vital part of your child’s recovery team! Our therapists make sure that both you and your child understand the problem and how to manage it effectively.
Our physiotherapists have a deep understanding of paediatric growth, tailoring treatments that account for the fact that children’s bodies are constantly developing. However, our underlying philosophy is consistent with our adult services: we aim to treat the root cause of the problem, not just the symptoms, to deliver a permanent recovery.
What to Expect at Your Child’s First Appointment
For any child under the age of 18, it is important that a parent or legal guardian is present for their treatment sessions.
The session will begin with a friendly chat with both you and your child to get a clear picture of the problem. This is followed by a thorough but gentle physical assessment, which might involve strength testing, checking the range of motion, and screening movement patterns.
We take the time to explain our findings in a way that is easy to understand for both of you before creating a personalised treatment plan. We always ensure the session is as engaging as possible, and if we feel a referral to another specialist is needed, we’ll discuss this with you and support the process.

Frequently Asked Questions
What does a children’s physiotherapist do?
A children’s, or paediatric, physiotherapist is a specialist in assessing, diagnosing, and treating musculoskeletal issues in growing and developing bodies. They treat a wide variety of issues, from growth-related pains like Sever’s disease and Osgood-Schlatter disease to sports injuries and rehabilitation after surgery. They create tailored treatment plans that are engaging and often play-based to help manage pain, promote healing, and restore function. A vital part of their role is educating both the child and parents on the condition to prevent future problems.
At what age can children have physiotherapy?
At Recover Physio, we provide specialist assessment and treatment for children aged 7 and older. Children’s bodies are not just smaller versions of adult bodies; they have unique demands related to growth and development. Our physiotherapists have in-depth knowledge of childhood maturation, allowing us to provide appropriate, effective care for this age group.
Is physiotherapy beneficial for children?
Yes, physiotherapy is highly beneficial for children as it provides a clear diagnosis for their pain and a treatment plan to fix the root cause. It helps manage symptoms, promote correct healing, and improve strength and coordination, which is essential for a growing body. Treatment also empowers children and their families with the knowledge to manage their condition and prevent re-injury, allowing them to confidently return to the sports and activities they love.
What should I expect at my child’s first physiotherapy session?
Your child’s first appointment is an Initial Assessment, and we require a parent or legal guardian to be present. The session begins with a friendly chat with both you and your child to understand the history of the problem. This is followed by a gentle physical assessment to test movement and strength, allowing us to form an accurate diagnosis, which we will explain clearly. We then create a personalised treatment plan and begin the first steps of treatment, ensuring you both leave with a clear understanding of the recovery path.
